We Are Together to Talk About How We Can Best Serve Our People in Crises

“Each of us, We are aware that solidarity and cooperation are of critical importance in protecting health and developing sustainable health services.. How necessary is this need?, 6 February 2023 events centered in Kahramanmaraş in, We all experienced the earthquake painfully, known as the 'disaster of the century'.. We commemorate our citizens who lost their lives in this tragic incident., I offer my condolences to their families and our country again.. earthquake us, It reminded us once again how vital it is to establish health systems that are resilient to disasters.. This bitter experience, It showed us how important it is to act together and take steps to create resilient health systems.. this disaster, of solidarity, clearly demonstrated the impact of collaboration and preparedness on healthcare. To the friendly countries that are with us in these difficult days., I would like to wholeheartedly thank international organizations and all our healthcare professionals who serve selflessly.. Being strong against disasters, Not only does it ease our pain, It also revives that spirit of solidarity that brings societies back to their feet.. Our gathering here today, making our health systems more resilient, "This is to talk about how we can best serve our people both in natural disasters and man-made crises."

We Aim to Achieve a Health Model That Will Meet Health Needs with Local and National Opportunities

“A similar spirit of solidarity, Unfortunately, we also need it in regions such as Gaza, which are under the influence of war and conflict.. Inhumane genocide and brutality in Gaza, It has once again demonstrated that human-induced crises can be at least as devastating as natural disasters.. of hospitals, places of worship, targeting schools and civilian areas, It has very serious consequences for healthcare services and aggravates the ethical and humanitarian responsibilities faced by healthcare professionals..

International cooperation and humanitarian aid support have become a necessity for the sick and injured in a war environment like Gaza.. This is what happened, Health services for disasters are not limited to natural disasters only., It clearly reveals that we must have the flexibility and resilience to respond to man-made crises.. Hospitals and healthcare institutions even in a war environment, should remain the most reliable shelters, human conscience requires this. We as Türkiye, Under the leadership of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we are a country that has always taken a stance towards protecting innocent people and maintaining uninterrupted health services.. This stance, It requires us to keep our responsibility to serve public health above all else.. Because, It is a very priority goal for us that our health systems can survive even in crisis situations and serve public health under all circumstances.. One of the main goals we will address in this Congress is, further develop our international collaborations to strengthen the resilience of our health systems, To create a more prepared and effective health infrastructure against crises. In disasters and emergencies, We have experienced many times the importance of strong leadership and effective cooperation in crisis environments under the leadership of our President.. For example, pandemic affecting the whole world (COVID-19) during the period, Thanks to the visionary leadership and solution-oriented approach of our President,, only in our country 45 Local ventilator devices were produced in a matter of days.. this success, It was made possible by the strong leadership and local cooperation provided by our President and gave us great encouragement.. As in this example, today, under the leadership of our President,, We meet all the health needs of our country with local and national means., We aim to reach a health model that will meet our needs through our own institutions.”
