On-duty pharmacies are pharmacies assigned in turn to meet medication needs in the evening and at night when pharmacies are closed, at weekends and on public holidays. Duty rosters are set by the provincial and district pharmacists' chambers and are renewed every day.
How do I find an on-duty pharmacy?
- Select your province from the map above, or from the “Select province” menu.
- On the page that opens, pick the district closest to you from the district tags.
- Tap the “Use my location” button to sort pharmacies by their distance from you.
- You can tap the phone number of a pharmacy in the list to call it, and get directions from its address.
What hours are on-duty pharmacies open?
Duty usually starts around 18:30–19:00, when pharmacies close, and lasts until pharmacies reopen the next morning. At weekends and on public holidays, duty continues all day. Since the hours can vary by province and district, calling the pharmacy before you set out saves time.
What should you keep in mind when going to an on-duty pharmacy?
- If you have a prescription, bring it with you; prescription medicines cannot be dispensed without one.
- Bring your ID with you; medication records are kept with your national ID number.
- Use medicines at the dose and for the duration recommended by your doctor.
